Dorothea Dennis is the Founder/CEO of Balms for LAMB, Inc. and LAMBs House Healthcare Organization. We are a private home healthcare company established in 1997 by myself and my mother, the late Evelylena G. Dennis.
I was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia. In 2001, I left my career at the United States Postal Service to start my journey in the healthcare industry. After graduating from Georgia Perimeter College with a Certification in Medical Billing and Coding, I found it difficult to find consistent work in my new field. The uncertainty of billing and coding ended up being a major blessing that led me to work over ten years amongst talented individuals in the mental health facilities and drug rehabilitation centers.
Overtime, I realized I needed something more fulfilling. I began working with individuals with special needs where I later discovered my passion for working in the home health care field. Not realizing I have had the best experience possible, which was being my mother’s caregiver for so many years.
